Black Myth: Wukong Xbox version delayed: Alleged collusion with PlayStation

Ana sayfa / News

Black Myth: Wukong has become one of the most talked about games of 2024. The game has been a huge success, selling over 10 million copies in just the first three days. However, while gamers have had the chance to experience this exciting production on PlayStation 5 and PC, Xbox users have not yet had the same chance. This situation has also brought about various speculations as to why the game has not yet been released on the Xbox platform. According to the allegations, Sony may have made a secret agreement.

While technical issues have been suggested as the reason behind this delay in the gaming world, a different claim has recently come to the fore. Forbes writer Paul Tassi suggested that there may be a secret agreement between Sony and developer studio Game Science behind the delay.

According to Tassi, Sony may have made an exclusive deal with Game Science to ensure the game’s priority release on PlayStation 5. This is cited as the main reason behind the delay in the release on the Xbox platform.

However, these claims were refuted by well-known names in the gaming industry . Famous journalist Jeff Grubb and insider Nick Baker (Spheshal Nick) argued that such an agreement did not exist. According to Baker, Sony only provided financial support for the development of the PS5 version of the game, but this did not create any platform exclusivity for the game.

It is claimed that this support from Sony was made to optimize the Black Myth: Wukong PS5 version and release it on time. In the midst of all this speculation, a statement came from the Game Science front. The studio stated that the Xbox version is still being optimized and therefore cannot be released at the same time as other platforms.

The development team asked Xbox users to be patient and stated that they are working to deliver the game in the best quality. However, this statement does not provide an exact release date, which means that Xbox users will have to wait a while longer.

On the Microsoft front , the situation becomes even more interesting . When WindowsCentral asked Microsoft about this delay, the company’s response was remarkable: ” We cannot comment on agreements that our partners have with other platform owners. ” This statement is interpreted as Microsoft’s silence on this situation, and further increases the confusion about whether there really is an agreement between Sony and Game Science.
